New Grant Supports Demonstration Projects to Improve Juvenile Reentry Outcomes

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) recently released the FY 2014 Second Chance Act Two-Phase Juvenile Reentry Demonstration Program: Planning and Implementation. This grant is for the development of a demonstration program for youths returning to their communities from confinement.

Under this solicitation, applicants apply for a single award that includes both a planning phase and an implementation phase with specific deliverables required in both phases. The initial award period will be 24 months with the possibility of no-cost extensions to allow for the successful completion of both phases. Up to 15 grants will be awarded for up to $750,000.
