The Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators (CJCA) is introducing a new affiliate membership for juvenile justice professionals to connect with others, have access to the latest research and attend webinars and open forums.

Since 1994, CJCA has worked to improve local youth correctional services, programs and practices and to provide leadership development for individuals responsible for the systems. CJCA is continuing to help improve youth correctional services by providing a way for juvenile justice or youth corrections practitioners to stay abreast of rapidly occurring developments in the field.  Exposure to new ideas and approaches to rehabilitation, findings of the latest research in reports like “Reforming Juvenile Justice: A Developmental Approach” by the National Academy of Sciences and practical applications of research greatly enhance the development of rehabilitative practitioners.

The goal of the CJCA Affiliate Membership is for staff of CJCA members and other juvenile justice professionals to have a community of juvenile justice practitioners.  Benefits of membership include access to the latest research on relevant juvenile justice and youth correctional issues, the opportunity to register for CJCA webinars and open forums, which feature experts on various juvenile justice issues, a dedicated page on the CJCA Social Network site for members to share ideas and promising approaches to managing and treating adolescent offenders and many others.

The new affiliate membership will be available starting Sept. 1 for a nominal fee of $35.  To learn more and apply, visit the application form.
