The Comings and Goings Among the CJCA Membership

After more than 11 years as the Executive Director of the Florida Parishes JDC, Tom Jarlock has left his position to pursue another career opportunity at The Louisiana Office of Behavioral Health.   Tom became the executive director of the FPJDC in 2004 and began his membership with CJCA in 2008.  He has served as the chairperson for the CJCA south region since 2014. Donald Washington, Director of Clinical Services, has been named FPJDC’s interim director.  Don brings a wealth of experience to his new assignment having worked in juvenile corrections for over 30 years.

 Steve McBride has recently left his position at the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services.  Ross Armstrong, former Deputy Attorney General within the division was named as Steve’s successor.

Deputy Director Kevin Aucoin of the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families has moved to another position within their legal department. Kevin McKenna, former Juvenile Probation Assistant Administrator, has been named as the new executive director of juvenile correctional services for the RI Training School.

David Hipp, Executive Director of the Department of Human Services for Hawaii, retired in September 2015.  David served as the agency’s executive director since January 2010.  Merton Chinen has been named the acting executive director.
