Performance-based Standards (PbS) published a new issue brief this week, “Using PbS Data and New Resources to Prevent and Monitor Sexual Victimization and Harassment.”

In preparation for the implementation of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards and audits of youth correction and detention facilities, in 2013 PbS partnered with Greene County Juvenile Detention Center (GCJDC) in Missouri to create tools to support facility work to prevent, monitor and respond to indicators of sexual assault and sexual harassment. This issue brief looks at PbS data, tools developed in partnership with GCJDC and the next steps.

For more information on connecting PbS data and PREA standards, see PbS’ issue brief resources.
