Fredrick Douglass wrote, “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” In existence for over 22 years, the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators (CJCA) strives to build strong children by improving local juvenile correctional services, programs and practices for youth.

Our hope is that youth within the juvenile justice system succeed when they return to their communities. To accomplish this, CJCA works to provide national leadership development for the individuals responsible for those systems. We connect, develop and strengthen youth corrections leaders so that they may implement and sustain reforms in their systems to improve outcomes for youth, families and communities.  CJCA is a national non-profit organization formed in 1994 to improve juvenile justice and correctional systems, services and practices for all youth entrusted to their care.  CJCA represents the juvenile justice CEO’s in all 50 states and major metropolitan areas.

In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals, we would not be able to serve those in our community each year.

I consider you one of those special community minded individuals. Today, it gives me great pleasure to extend to you my personal invitation to become one of our newest members of CJCA’s Leadership Circle.  As a new Leadership Circle member, you will be integral in allowing us to make a difference in the juvenile justice community.
