Employment and Training for Court-Involved Youth: An Overview

Provides an overview of the OJJDP Report, Employment and Training for Court-Involved Youth. This Fact Sheet introduces the Task Force on Employment and Training for Court-Involved Youth, jointly funded by the U.S. Departments of Justice and Labor and convened by the Home Builders Institute, and lists the Task Force's goals. In addition, it describes key elements of promising early intervention, residential, and aftercare programs. It also highlights the need for ongoing collaboration by the six primary systems that affect court-involved youth: juvenile justice, workforce development, education, social services, community-based organizations, and the labor market.
