In 2008, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) awarded funding to CJCA to conduct an annual conference for all juvenile correctional directors. Each conference will focus on a specific theme or topic to provide directors with resources for addressing pressing issues in the juvenile justice field. The First Annual CJCA Leadership Conference, “Measuring What Matters,” focused on reaching a national consensus on defining and measuring recidivism.
